It is preferable that you do not reveal your identitiy on the public pages of the Portal. If you want to volunteer information that allows you to be identified, you are encouraged to do so only in off-line discussion.

The Mental Health and Wellbeing Portal (Portal) is an initiative of the Deakin University School of Nursing and Midwifery.
While the Portal is designed so that your identity is not apparent, you may decide to volunteer personal or health information that identifies you (for example in discussion forums. In this case, Deakin will collect, record and manage that personal or health information in compliance with the Information Privacy Act 2000 (Vic) and the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic) and it will be used by Deakin to respond to posts and to facilitate discussion. If any material posted on the Portal raises concerns about your safety or another person, the moderators of the Portal may use personal information provided to contact the Participant to make sure they or others are safe.
Deakin University manages personal and health information, including requests by individuals for access to their personal and health information, in accordance with the Information Privacy Act 2000 (Vic) and the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic).

You are solely responsible for your own posts and the consequences of your posts. Users must be courteous in their posts, and comply at all times with the Information and Communications Technology Use operational policy, the Social Media Guidelines and their related policies, procedures, conditions and guidelines.
Removal of Posts and Suspension/Cancellation of Access
The moderators may read material posted to the Portal and will, without prior notice, remove any post that the moderators believe (in their sole discretion) to be inappropriate for inclusion on the Portal.
Deakin reserves the right to suspend or cancel a participant’s access to the Portal for failure to comply with Deakin’s polices and with standards for acceptable on-line behaviour.
Students who post material to the Portal own the copyright in that material – that is, the right to reproduce the words, including on the internet.
When you post material to the Portal, you grant to Deakin a non-exclusive, irrevocable, perpetual, payment-free, worldwide licence to use, modify, adapt and publish that material.

The Health and Wellbeing Portal is an innovative development within the School of Nursing and Midwifery and Deakin staff are interested in assessing its use and potential for further development. This may lead to research publications using information posted to the Portal. Deakin will use all information in de-identified form only and will not use it in a way that will allow a participant to be identified by third parties.
The Mental Health and Wellbeing Portal is not an emergency or 24-hour counselling service. It is not moderated on a continuous basis.

The views of participants who post questions comments or statements on the Portal are not necessarily the views of or endorsed by Deakin University or the moderators of the Portal
